**Accepting Applications for BOO's this WINTER**

Style-U-Tations TrendSetta's It's getting cold Ladies and Gentlemen... and you know what that mean??? It's time to "BOO" up for the Winter and find that special person to stay warm with.. Yes people those Free and Careless days of the Summer are done and those SUMMER Flings have either grown into something or have faded away in the FALL. WINTER is approaching people, and the Holidays are around the corner. Have you found your WINTER "BOO" yet???

Now if you are already taken or have already found your "BOO" for the Winter, This may not apply to you ( Unless you are trying to Double Up on your "BOO'S" for the Holidays than you can continue to read on)..Okay people before we get to the "BOO" stage we must first begin with the "NO NAME" Stage.. You see me and my girls don't like to say the name of a guy until he reaches "Boo" status. Therefore in the "NO NAME" Stage we refer to the guy by "Ol'Boy", "Whatchmacallit", "Whats his face", or by his age, physical features, actions, or by an ENLARGE, or small attribute that he has....
" BOO" is a term me and my girls use freely.. So no fella's we are not trying to "WIFE" you or anything..( And Yes MEN you Can get "WIFED", another terms We use very FREELY) but basically a "BOO" is that cool person that you may be feeling, you look forward to seeing them and you like being around them but you haven't quite decided to become serious with.. This is the Getting to know them stage that we all dread.. Because it can MAKE or BREAK the possibilty of a future between the two of you.. However if BOTH PEOPLE ARE HONEST WITH EACH OTHER, and both decide not to rush their future or chooses not to grow beyond the "BOO" stage feelings are often not hurt.. *Hint* this requires HONESTY.. If you already got a significant other LET THEM KNOW.. If you are scared and not ready to go to the next step LET THEM KNOW.. If you are not feeling them like they are feeling you LET THEM KNOW.. And if you are messing with the person's friend..PLEASE LET THEM KNOW!!!! See it's easy people it just requires being real with yourself and the person you are dating."BOO'S" can often turn into long lasting lasting relationships.. However if I had to give the ratio of a "BOO" turning into the REAL THING, I would say that there is a 2 out of 5 chance...

So people make the best out of what you got this winter. No one wants to be alone expecially when it's cold outside. So Why not keep it cozy with a potential Mate, Friend, or Lover.... Never underestimate the power of a "BOO"Remember Trendsetta's Create Style, Don't Let Style Create You!!

I Can't Lose with D'VINE

Style-U-Tations Trendsetta's Okay i have had a fake ID since the age of 16 ( Thanks, TeKay) so that means I have done alot of clubbing in my short lived lifetime.. Any club that was hot in the past 9 years I have been too. H2O, Estate, Biology Bar, The Buzz, IceBar. E2...... This list can go on and on. However now a days I prefer the much smaller club scene. A place where I can get a cocktail, socialize, grab a bite to eat, and dance to my feet hurt....



This place to me is D'vine Wine Bar Located in BuckTown 1950 w North AvE.
D'vine is open 6 days out the week and each day there is a different Promoter, a different Vibe, and a different Crowd. However you can always count on a good music, people, food, drinks, and a damn good time.. Me and my friends are regulars at D'vine often dropping by for our favorite food and drinks..
D'vine has a short menu of bar foods, (chicken wings, shrimp, chicken tenders) but my favorite item have to be there calamari ( which is the best calamari here in Chicago period). It is fried and seasoned to pefection and comes in a large plate that feeds more than one.. For only 9 bucks

The drinks are always the best and are very affordable compared to the other bars in the Bucktown area.. the price ranges from 7-10 bucks ( not including drink specials) . Plus the bartenders are very cool & down to earth.. Tonya and Mario keep the customers happy & satisfied with good drinks and fast service, at a bar that is always surrounded with customers, everyone is always served at a fast pace which keeps the crowd always coming back for more.



The cost to get in barely reaches 20 bucks, and valet is only 10 bucks. Security handles the door with professionalism, so there is no cocky attitudes and rude treatment like there is with those other clubs. Security is very down to earth and treats everyone as if they were VIP. Thanks ( Josh & Cervante) And the owner of the club Derek is always there making sure the customers are happy and that his business is ran correctly.. which is good because he is very hands on with D'vine and keeps a cordial relationship with his staff and customers..


Some of Chicago hottest DJ's have kept the parties jumping at D'vine on a regular basis. DJ's like Sean Mac, Showtime, Tim Buck, and J Illa are always there throughout the week. The music varies theoughout the week however true Hip Hop is definately a favorite at D'vine. Just know that the DJ's definately know how to get the party going. And the dance floor stay packed until the club closes which is 2am weekdays 3 am weekends

Kanye West Graduation CD

Style-U-Tations Trendsetta's one of my favorite things to do to pass time is listen to good music. The hottest trendsetting CD this fall has to be Chicago's own Kanye West . Who else is setting Trends like my man Kanye. From his clothes, to his hair, to his swagger. Kanye stays on top of his game. And he did his damn thang this fall with his third LP " The Graduation". This CD reminds me that I am destined for greatness. It's like Kanye read my diary and wrote a song about my present life, and where I want to be and how I want to act in my future.


The hype for Graduation first began in the summer when "Can't Tell Me Nothing" first was released. This was the Anthem to the Underdog . It was a song I connected with being a recent graduate and trying to be successful in life. It was my song for those that doubted and still doubt me!! " LA LA LA LA WAIT TO I GET MY MONEY RIGHT.. YOU CAN'T TELL ME NOTHING"



Later in the summer the fake publicity beef between 50 cent and Kanye West created an even bigger buzz for the CD. 50 cent set the stage when he promised to outsell Kanye West, and he stated that if Kanye West out sold him that he would retire.. September 11 2007 both CD's were put on stands everywhere, and my $15.00 went to ChiTown's own Kanye West.. 50 who????





The "Graduation" has everything needed for a Trendsetting person. It has Truth, Swagger, Style, Sexyness,Versatility, and the Cockiness that only Kanye can deliver.. I feel so confident when I hear my favorite song " Flashing Lights" playing anywhere.. This song is true Chi-Town Flyyness to me.. My other favorite song is " I Wonder" this song fits me to a "T". Every word that he says describe's everything I want to verbally say if i ever got a chance to write.. " I'M A STAR HOW COULD I NOT SHINE" What... thats that piece right there!!! " Champion" & "Good Life" are motivating and uplifting songs for those with Big Dreams.... That there is a light at the end of the tunnel..

Kanye West "Graduation" is the best CD out this Fall.... It does what GOOD music is suppose to do....Uplift, Motivate, and Get People dancing on there feets... This CD is definately a must have for the Fall.

COCKTAILS ANYONE???

STYLE-U-TATIONS TRENDSETTA'S.. TODAY'S TRENDS IS A MUST HAVE FOR ME AND MY GIRLS WHEN WE HIT THE CLUB SCENE... EVERY TREND SETTING PERSON SHOULD HAVE A SIGNATURE DRINK.JUST LIKE ONE HAS A SIGNATURE PERFUME(BE DELICIOUS), OR SIGNATURE COLOR (PINK & GREEN), EVEN A SIGNATURE STYLE (FLYY BEYOND MEANS),ONE SHOULD HAVE THAT SEXY SIGNATURE DRINK THATS BEYOND THE USUAL. FOR INSTANCE MY CHOICE OF LIQUOR IS PATRON ( I NOW EVERYONE DRINKS PATRON). THEREFORE MY SIGNATURE DRINKS OFTEN CONTAIN PATRON( MARGUIRITA'S, SUNRISES, SHOOTERS ...etc) AND THE OUT OF SEASON PATRON MOJITO ( WHICH I LIKE TO THINK I INVENTED)

THE MARGARITA IS A TROPICAL DRINK THAT IS SOLD ALL YEAR AROUND. AND THE PATRON ADDS JUST THE RIGHT KICK TO THIS SALTY AND SOUR DRINK!

PATRON MARGARITA



2 OUNCES TEQUILA ( PREFERABLY PATRON SILVER )
1 1/3 OUNCE COINTREAU
2/3 OUNCE OF LIME JUICE


Shake with ice. Strain into a cocktail glass. Optional: You can prepare the cocktail glass by rubbing the rim of the glass with lime juice, and then dipping it into coarse margarita salt.

PATRON SUNRISE

2 oz tequila- PATRON GOLD
4 oz orange juice
1 oz grenadine
Pour the Tequila first and then the Orange Juice add the Grenadine last so that it sinks to the bottom of the drink hence the name Sunrise .

WHITE ZINFANDEL COCKTAIL




1 (1.5 fluid ounce) jigger vodka
2 fluid ounces cranberry juice
2 fluid ounces white Zinfandel
1 Cherries with stem


In a highball glass with ice, pour vodka, followed by cranberry juice and white Zinfandel. Add Cherries for garnish


SINCE THE SUMMER IS OVER AND THE HOLIDAYS ARE APPROACHING COZY AND WARM DRINKS ARE A MUST HAVE TO MAINTAIN THAT YEAR ROUND BUZZ WHILE STAYING WARM . HERE ARE A COUPLE OF MY FAVORITES THIS FALL & WINTER.

ADULT HOT CHOCALATE






1 1/2 oz. peppermint schnapps
1 cup hot chocolate
1 generous tbsp. Whipped cream


Pour hot chocolate and schnapps into a warmed mug and stir well. Top with whipped cream.

I WAS INTRODUCE TO THIS NEXT DRINK IN COLLEGE BY MY COGNAC DRINKING GIRL... I'M NOT TO FOND OF COGNAC , BUT THIS DRINK BELOW IS DEFINATELY AN EXCEPTION. DURING THEM COLD WINTER NIGHTS WHEN YOU WANT TO RELAX AND SETTLE DOWN THIS DRINK WILL DO JUST THAT, RELAX YOU AND BEYOND!!

HOT BRANDY CIDER COCKTAIL

1 1/2ounces Cider
1 1/2 parts CognacOrange or ( Hennessey)

Get your favorite coffee mug and pour the cider and cognac in it . Put the mug into the microwave for 2min and 30 sec, (depends on the microwave) This drink is best when hot

AND NO HOLIDAY WILL BE COMPLETE TO ME WITHOUT MY HOLIDAY SIGNATURE DRINK. MY MOMMA USE TO CALL IT GROWN FOLKS EGGNOG..lol


GROWN FOLKS EGGNOG




1 1/2 oz. brandy
1 eggs
1 cup hot milk
1 tbsp. superfine sugar
Pinch Nutmeg
Pinch salt

Place egg and salt in a mixing bowl and beat until egg is thick; add sugar and beat until blended. Add hot milk and brandy, mix well by hand or in a blender, and pour into a warmed mug that has been rinsed in hot water. Serve with whip crean and sprinkle with ground nutmeg
